DRAMA SUMMER SCHOOL 2011 - GET IN ON THE ACT!

WHAT IS A DRAMA SUMMER SCHOOL?

It's a week of drama related activities run by professionals for young people in the Wigan area.  Participants are split into three groups according to age.  Morning sessions start at 10.00am with theatre games followed by a variety of workshops aimed at developing drama skills and understanding, all presented in a fun and relaxed way.  In the afternoons each group rehearses their own play (to be performed on stage for family and friends on the Friday evening).  A final Saturday morning session completes the week.  Afternoon sessions finish at 4.30pm.  Students should bring a daily packed lunch.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?

The cost of the week is £75.  This includes the £20 non-returnable deposit paid at the time of the booking.  The balance is then paid on or before the first morning.

WHO CAN COME?

Anyone from the age of 7 up to and including 16.  Students are divided into Juniors, Intermediates and Seniors.

WHEN AND WHERE IS IT?

Monday 8 to Saturday 13 August or Monday 22nd to Saturday 27 August.  (Please tell us your 1st and 2nd choice dates).  Daily sessions are held at Whitley Methodist Halls, Spencer Road, Wigan WN1 2QR, 10.00am to 4.30pm on Monday to Friday.  Show is on Friday evening at 7.30pm.  Saturday 'farewell session' from 10.30am - 1.00pm.
